A woman plumber is still pretty unusual. It certainly was when I started my training 35 years ago and had to contend with some fairly backward-thinking men in the profession, who thought a woman's place was in the kitchen but definitely not fixing the sink!
But after qualifying in 1984, I'm still here and giving the same service to clients, some of whom I've seen through several house moves, leaks, bathrooms and many blocked toilets.
I live in Peckham but I cover all areas of glorious South London. Have plunger will travel!
My approach to plumbing is simple; diagnose the problem and get it fixed in the shortest possible time and don't rip off the customer. I live by my mantra of no mess, no fuss and a fair price and I believe that's what's kept clients coming back to me year after year.
When you call me for a plumbing job I will ask you to describe the problem. Surprisingly often I can tell you how to solve the problem yourself and if that's the case I'm happy to have saved you some money. The chances are you'll come back to me next time you have a problem you can't solve and you'll trust me to sort it out.
If you describe a problem and I need to come along to sort it out, then I will ask for as much information up front as you can supply, this includes photos as well as a detailed description of the problem. Getting this information means you won't be charged for unnecessary time wasting.
Also a large proportion of jobs I do can be done in under an hour, which is good for you and good for me. So the more information I have from you, the less time I spend on your job.
Give me a call or drop me a message to discuss any of your plumbing problems, I'm happy to talk plumbing any time.
